There was alot of faces moving on pastures new at the end of the season. So heres a roundup who went where.

Danny Welbeck loaned to Derby Circus for 21 days. Don't worry fans he will be back :)
Marko Curlizza transferred to Gosforth City for 110k this was a surprise he was a solid player and well liked within the club but I felt the time wa right for him to move on besides I got a solid replacement.
Washington Arubi transferred to Salterford FC 50k
Stijn Minne moved to Fc bear Vison on a trasnfer auction
Lasse Qvist transfer auction went to Kelleher Utd
Sebastian Soria transferred to Carebears FC 16k
Morten Karlsen to Carebears Fc 18k
Paolo De Cegile transferred to Bad Boyz United for 500k another surprising transfer.

How did the season go?

Well season 1 has ended and I can tell you it was a good season for the Tradesmen 1st they they managed an awesome start to the season going unbeaten for a long time which left them top of the league. They held the league and won the qual league title from Fc pie eaters. It was a good season and nice league to play. Key man of course was Fernandao getting 35 goals in 31 games.

But there was more to come for the 1st time ever the Superstar Tradesmen won the Social FA cup in a tight against Painter FC 1-0 win to lift the cup :)

The Golden Molby episode 2

With the FA comps in full swing and the gw cup a few rounds in everyone seems to be knuckling down and concentrating on trying to bring success to their clubs. There's also a few massive transfers to roundup a bit later on some people most definitely been raiding the piggy banks.

Team of the Week

This week goes to Ken Adam's Badger Badger who beat off stiff competition to claim that 100k prize and recognition throughout the gameworld as team to beat.

Mover of the week.

Was Crouch Hill FC who climbed around 600 places in the weekly rankings gotta be sweet to actively make progress and get rewarded for it.

The lobby groanbag

The main discussions this week have been a bit of Chelsea, and how rubbish most think Scolari is or isn't in a couple of instances. Also another main talking point has been those internationals midweek and well basically how rubbish England, how totally lacking they were in passing and movement and also why is Downing picked? Again not everyone had the same views.

Game of the Week Moscow 2008 vs Wight Diamonds

A game that was seemingly a meaningless friendly was played this week at the theatre of nightmares in Stockport, turned into an exhibition of the beautiful game. It didn't take too long for the deadlock to be broken when Obasi headed home from close range for the diamonds. Gilardino doubled the diamonds lead with a great header from the penalty spot on 26 minutes. Moscow managed to get themselves back into the game tho just 3 minutes later with Martinez blasting home a penalty. Then before the diamonds had a chance to compose themselves Chatelle was played in behind the fullback and beat the keeper at his near post with a well placed finish 2-2. Martinez then went from hero to villian heading the ball past his own keeper as he attempted to clear the diamonds corner in injury time at the end of the 1st half.

A few minutes into the second half and prince Boateng socred from the edge of the box to make it 3-3. Then disaster again for Moscow as they scored another own goal thos time Corluka deflecting a shot past his own keeper. Then with 20 mins to go Moscow finally found a breach in the diamonds defence a nice passing and movement allowed wellington space in the box to smash past the goalie at his near post. Chatelle then scored a lovely striker from a tight angle on the right wing to make it 5-4. Then it was the diamonds turn to score an own goal as a defender unknowingly put into his own after the a fierce shot rebounded off the post to the hit the defender and roll in surely Moscow were safe now? two minutes of injury gone the diamonds lifted themselves and got another one back but in the end it was too late to turn it round but what a game! 6-5

Transfers

Well there's been some big name signings this week with John Terry coming off the free agent list to martial the defence of AC United for a whopping £925k. The Arsenal Striker Adebayor was also one that was swept away from his life of rest and relaxation signing for Ardwick AFC. One big money mover was Anderson the amc moving from number 1 ranked Badger Badger to AC Meehan for 750k. Another notable signing was the much sort after Pato who was snapped up by mod Bart Bibi Brouwers for 722k.

A look on the other side of the coin the wages shows that experienced midfielder Senna is the current top earner this week on £42.501k per day. But he actually shares this huge wage with another superstar in the from of Luca Toni. Terry, klose, Seedorf and Del Piero.

New signings

Kazenga LuaLua joins another former Tradesmen from Lineker joins the revolution in Molby. A skillful quick right winger who is a bit of a demon from freekicks as many sides are beginning to find out.

Morten Karlsen also joins after a successful trial period at the club. A Danish Midfielder who is not the most creative but is a box to box midfielder who always gives 110%.

Also I can conifrm that Morais has left for pastures new and I would like to wish him the best in future endevures

The Golden Molby

Round up of events and happenings in the great big wide belly I mean world of Molby :) First up I want to say hello to everyone inside the gameworld and the people on the outside looking in a bit like a shop window, tempting to you buy. As the this is the first roundup a little overview of the gameworld.

There are currently 954 active users in Mobly we have just completed preseason and the 1st week of the FA season is curently under way.

There has been 41573 matches played since the world opened.

The gw championship has changed hands 39 times so far with teams from the XFA being most successful taking the crown on 14 occasions. Don't worry I won't bore you with all stats, I have a few poor jokes lined as well.

The first team to win the gw champion crown was G.F's La Havana C.F.C. They won the crown against Spenny Stormers 1-0. A very tight tense game where Efrem finally broke the deadlock late on in the 85th minute.

Team of the Week was Genius FC manager Vlad Bourceanu was understandly deighted to get the award and was quick to tell anyone who was around in the lobby of his delight. If thats not enough he bagged himself 100k reward as well. That kind of cash can go along way at the start of the gameworld.

One team not quite so succesful in the 1st week was mod Paris's Tsapas FC earning himself a place in the top 100 when he gained a ranking he promptly managed to plunge all the way down to below 700's. Now as a mod I'm sure hes been to busy in the help centre giving advice to concerntrate on his matches, I just hope its not tactical advice! Then again if I my team was playing so badly I wouldn't be watching the matches either.

The big discussion alot has been asked about different strategies at the beginning of the gameworld. Theres lots of ways to go about how to guide your club to success. The questions seem to be around do you put your cash into building up your stadium early on saving you cash later when others will be frantically trying to add capacity to their stadiums. Others believe going for all youth players is the way forward. Meaning you can sell them on at profit in future or build a team around them for seasons to come.

A roundup of transfers in the first week or so of the gameworld shows up Simao as the biggest transfer fee going for 500k to Greig Ewan's Westhill Wanderers. Not to be outdone tho Teddington FC splashed out 500k to sign Lucho Gonzalez from the free transfer list.

The highest wage earner is the cheeky Argentian Hernan Crespo on a greedy 35k. Closely followed by ex Chelsea Favourite Shevchenko, HVIK Giants FC clearly see he still has the magic to take them to success.

Game of the week
Not one for the 451 stalwarts as theres far too many goals in this game for that. The game of the week is a Capile League game between Test Eagles and Pinner FC from the eagles nest stadium in Edinborough. The got off to a quite a slow start as despite being on top of the play Pinner Fc could not force a way through. But on 25 minutes they did finally find a way through Di Vaio heading home a corner at the near post. Then Diego Lagos missed a penalty only for Di Vaio to get finally knock home a follow effort after the penatly save. Ki-hyeon Seol added the third when Di Vaio flicked on from a corner and the ball found the Koren at the far post to head home. Then on the stroke of half time Borbon scored a wonderful solo effort picking up the ball on halfway line ghosting past his man on down the right wing cuts into the penalty and rockets it past the keeper 4-0 surely this game is dead and buried now. The pinners tho looked as if they had switched off as THe eagles got a goal back from the kick off they got ball wide left swung a cross in and no one picks up the run of Pluim and he heads home followed by the half time whistle.

Second half and Pinners still all too complacent and that the game was well truely wrapped up but a cross from the right and Cisse knocked thw ball into his own net the comeback was on! A corner in the 75th minute was where the eagles did yet more damage with Nicolita heading home from the around the penalty spot 4-3. This seemed to stir Pinner back into life and they pushed on trying to make sure of the win, the breakthrough tho was the late late show in the third minute of injury time Ferreria broke the offside trap and smashed home from edge of the box 5-3, yet there was still more to come. Sixth minute of injury time and Cisse made a mends for his earlier mistake unmarked on the edge of the box a freekick was played to him he controlled one touch then hit it into the bottom corner 6-3. What a game!

Molby Member Meeting

Anthony Meehan XEFA

How did you choose your clubs team name?
Well my surname is Meehan, which gets pronounced Mee-han like Mee - lan lol, plus cause me and my brother have a rivalry on games we wanted similar names, plus we get the "Meehan" derby games going lol

Who's the best player you have managed past or present?
Robbie Fowler without a doubt :)

What is your aim for this 1st season in Molby? do you set yourself a goal before the start of the season?
My aim for the 1st season is to finish midtable or better, and to understand how things work, so i can be prepared for season 2.

If you could give a newcomer one tip what would you tell them?
Dont get too disheartened when you lose/have a bad run - it happens to everyone. Also dont waste all your cash on one big player, build a stronger squad instead of having just 1 superstar.

If money was no object which player would you sign right now?
Fernando Torres

Are there any real life managers you try to emulate and who is your favourite ever manager?
I dont really try to emulate any managers and my favourite ever manager is Gareth Southgate....ok not really lol, its Rafa :)

If you was to recommend gw molby to someone what would you say?
Molby is a laugh, some good teams, seems active enough, and some good banter.

Thats all folks a little look inside the Golden Molby :)

The Social Lite

According to the dictionary the meaning of socialite is one that is prominent in a fashionable society, not sure if thats applicable or not for this purpose but what the social lite is a round of whats happening in the SFA in gw Molby.

So with Preseason out the way now and leagues in full flow I thought it was the perfect time to reflect on the 1st week or so of the season. Whats been happening, who signed who, who wants to murder who already? :D

So what a perfect time to address the complaint of the season about the SFA and no its not the half time pies, "Wayne silent footy assassin" its just all too quiet he can hear himself think which is a minefield itself. I think Wayne is more from the Joe Kinnear school of management and needs a bit of banter so people don't be afraid to get stuck into him the guy has even started thinking bout tactics save the poor soul.

So far SFA teams have done a good job of getting their hands on the gameworld champions crown winning it 7 times so far with Jake Cartwright being the current champion lets see how long he can hold onto it. Am sure there is plenty of xfa teams gunning for the crown having won it 14 times so far.

In transfer news theres been alot of activity generally but so far people seem to holding out for the bigger names that will take a bit of saving for. In Qual league 1 Gamereactor have one of the biggest signings so far in Everton Phil Neville who set them back a 170k. In qual league 2 Droylsden Boys splashed out 220k for Romanian leftback Razvan Rat who so far has contributed with 4 goals and 5 assists. Jakemanchesterunited seem to forward planning with the signing of Ched Evans deffo one for the future and decent price at 120k. Ludicrouse Albion parted with 180k to sign Hamit Altintop who has an awesome return of 12 goals in 13 games in official competitions. Painter Fc signed a player who is a sure fire hit with the fans the brazilian seal Kerlon who I'm sure will wow the masses with is tricks.

An early peak at the leagues show that Gamereactor are lading the way in qual 1 but on predicted points Ice Athletic FC are the predicted to finish with the most points so that will be interesting to see who can hold on there. In qual league 2 Eltham Green United top the way with the manager Sir Max Elkins assuring me they can't be caught and he will win the league. Sounds like a marker being thrown down there boys anyone ready to step up to the challenge? Br1stol Rovers lead the way in qual 3 and so far remain unbeaten and on predicted points are long out in front but thats the trouble with predicting it sometimes comes back and bites on you on the bum. The final qual league 4 which features my own Superstar Tradesmen does not have me top of the league infact im sititng near bottom hardly played any games I blame you lot start behaving and give me some time to play games. :D Heworth United are so far the prediction team to beat conceding 4 goals in 9 games.

So far the biggest drubbing was Droylsden Boys 6-1 destruction of Manchester Devils, Manuel Villalobos netted a brace , Shane Long grabbed himself two as well. Not a happy day witha sending off for Marciano Van Homoet for a vicious foul and then promptly handed a 5 match ban by the SFA disciplinary panel.

I think that covers off the action so far but we need is more involvement from everyone this the social FA so lets get the banter going and let me know what you want to see in the paper each week.

New signing for the Tradesmen!

New signing in for the Tradesmen today. late evening tonight I can confirm that I have agreed terms with Danny Welbeck who comes in on a one season contract.

Many will recognise the player as a Manchester united youth player who linked up with Superstars for a couple of seasons in the lineker gw. Danny was quoted as saying "he can't wait to start a partnership with Fernandao".

Certainly the social FA will have to deal with the mouth watering partnership this season. It could make for an interesting season. Earlier in the day The tradesmen missed out with a bid for Sunny the defensive midfielder. Getting outbid in a wage auction, fate was to step in tho as his new club restarted releasing Sunny from his contract. He was quickly snapped up again in a starting squad tho.

Also the game was reviewed by a few gaming sites this week ands so far reviews have been good from Eurogamer and Videogamer, I think James from Videogamer may be a little addicted ;)

Football Manager Live has been worth the prolonged wait. Sports Interactive has massive experience in creating single-player management games, but this is the developer's first stab at an MMO - and for the most part, it's a genuine success. While it never quite scales the heady heights of the single-player games, it's still an experience that every Football Manager fan should try, while budding managers intimidated by the demands of Football Manager 2009 are likely to find this a much more enjoyable and accessible entry point to the world of management.

8/10 from EG

The answer is a resounding yes. Importantly, FM Live manages to retain all the addictive qualities of the offline FM titles - building a squad, training, transfer dealing - only now you're competing against 999 other mangers all determined to make their team the best. For all its similarities to FM titles that have come before it, the focus on skill learning gives FM Live a fresh feeling that means even the most hardened of FM players will need to consider how they manage. This also means there's a real reward for sinking hours into the game, and will help separate a casual manager from a guy who's been carefully constructing a managerial skill set for many a season.

According to my manager stats, I've spent approximately 35 per cent of my life (since my team was created) logged into FM Live. Either I've got nothing better in my life to be getting on with or FM Live is the greatest football management game ever created.

From VG 9/10

Football Manager Live may not be quite the MMO Football Manager experience that diehard FM fans have been longing for, but in terms of creating a widely accessible yet still tactical and immersive MMO management game, Sports Interactive has done a fine job. Whether there’s enough here to maintain longevity is yet to be seen, but for the time being we finally have a Football Manager game that can be enjoyed against other people and in short bursts, a game that’s subtly addictive but never life sapping. Whether you consider that a good or a bad thing should tell you whether or not FML is for you.

The final Whistle

The Final Whistle (musings from the world of FML and some real life stuff as well!)

SO Christmas and New Year have come and gone again, it's the same every year! Well not for me this time round we headed off to an 8 bed cottage in St Ives Cornwall for Christmas and new year, 4 kids and 8 adults...fun and relaxing times. I couldn't help but logon occasionally when there was some signal just to get my fix; it's good for the soul I told the Mrs.!!

So to the end of season 2, the usual scramble for the premiership title and the various promotion pushes and playoff uproar, I myself took my boys to the brink of the playoffs only to be done up like a kipper in the last 2 games of my season with 2 draws against AI, let's just say I was not amused.

There was the usual banter in the lobby and Terry Tibbs was as vocal as ever, something about Eboue being a dirty player? I wasn't quite sure. There have been various departures from Lineker, most notably the departure of Ethans Gooners Glory, Jon has fled to the comfort of "ooh ahh cantona", have i thought about leaving for pastures new, well yes and no, i want to see how 1.1.1.111111.1 patch goes then theres a group of escapees planning to tunnel out apparently, we`ll probably end up in someone's centre circle in the middle of a game. But for now we`ll sit tight!!

Some amusing things I have come across over the last few weeks in the daily papers, just in case you missed them...a few of my favourites are below.

`Uefa show they have a sense of humour as the seating plan for the draw is revealed. Apparently, Manchester United officials have been seated next to the represents of...yes; you've guessed it...Real Madrid. Don't get Uefa to plan the seating for your wedding folks.`

`What on earth are Liverpool wearing??? Grey shirts and red shorts. It's hurting my eyes. "It looks like a training kit," remarks Graham Taylor.`

Some predictions in Real life for 2009:

Tottenham re-sign Defoe and sell him back to pompy in the summer before someone realises he attached to a piece of elastic that runs from south sea to seven sisters!

Real Madrid admits there 3m bid for Pennant was the result of a drunken staff party, where a drunken staff member admits to the prank. Hull then own up to the same!

West Ham chairman decide to appoint Kerry Katona to the board of the happy hammers as she`s the only one who can make a profit from ICELAND!

Hull are forced to sell Geovanni to pay for the Sunbed use at the KC Stadium of manager Phil Brown.

Finally Ricardo Fuller has been lined up as Ricky Hatton's next opponent!

SO to 2009 in Lineker,

There will be the usual moans im predicting after the 1.1..11111 patch has been launched and im guessing not everyone will be happy with the Tax situation, shame about the stadiums but trust me I've seen it there more hassle than there worth at the moment. There will be banter and straight talking in the lobby as usual, Shev will continue to wheel and deal better than a Lewisham car dealer and Me? Nothing different for me, the same edgy stuff as usual i would reckon!

Good luck to all for 2009 and i`ll see you all in the Premiership (damn I didn't make it!...oh and up the daggers (IRL!)
