Also the game was reviewed by a few gaming sites this week ands so far reviews have been good from Eurogamer and Videogamer, I think James from Videogamer may be a little addicted ;)

Football Manager Live has been worth the prolonged wait. Sports Interactive has massive experience in creating single-player management games, but this is the developer's first stab at an MMO - and for the most part, it's a genuine success. While it never quite scales the heady heights of the single-player games, it's still an experience that every Football Manager fan should try, while budding managers intimidated by the demands of Football Manager 2009 are likely to find this a much more enjoyable and accessible entry point to the world of management.

8/10 from EG

The answer is a resounding yes. Importantly, FM Live manages to retain all the addictive qualities of the offline FM titles - building a squad, training, transfer dealing - only now you're competing against 999 other mangers all determined to make their team the best. For all its similarities to FM titles that have come before it, the focus on skill learning gives FM Live a fresh feeling that means even the most hardened of FM players will need to consider how they manage. This also means there's a real reward for sinking hours into the game, and will help separate a casual manager from a guy who's been carefully constructing a managerial skill set for many a season.

According to my manager stats, I've spent approximately 35 per cent of my life (since my team was created) logged into FM Live. Either I've got nothing better in my life to be getting on with or FM Live is the greatest football management game ever created.

From VG 9/10

Football Manager Live may not be quite the MMO Football Manager experience that diehard FM fans have been longing for, but in terms of creating a widely accessible yet still tactical and immersive MMO management game, Sports Interactive has done a fine job. Whether there’s enough here to maintain longevity is yet to be seen, but for the time being we finally have a Football Manager game that can be enjoyed against other people and in short bursts, a game that’s subtly addictive but never life sapping. Whether you consider that a good or a bad thing should tell you whether or not FML is for you.

I am posting this great chance to play in one of Sega's promotions for the game they have teamed with talksport. SO not only do you get to play the game, free you also get to play against presenters of talksport including the likes of Ian Wright and Stan Collymore.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be in the hot seat and manage your own football club?

The first 1000 talkSPORT listeners to register in our "talkSPORT World" will be able to play a whole season absolutely free! The final Whistle

The Final Whistle (musings from the world of FML and some real life stuff as well!)

SO Christmas and New Year have come and gone again, it's the same every year! Well not for me this time round we headed off to an 8 bed cottage in St Ives Cornwall for Christmas and new year, 4 kids and 8 adults...fun and relaxing times. I couldn't help but logon occasionally when there was some signal just to get my fix; it's good for the soul I told the Mrs.!!

So to the end of season 2, the usual scramble for the premiership title and the various promotion pushes and playoff uproar, I myself took my boys to the brink of the playoffs only to be done up like a kipper in the last 2 games of my season with 2 draws against AI, let's just say I was not amused.

There was the usual banter in the lobby and Terry Tibbs was as vocal as ever, something about Eboue being a dirty player? I wasn't quite sure. There have been various departures from Lineker, most notably the departure of Ethans Gooners Glory, Jon has fled to the comfort of "ooh ahh cantona", have i thought about leaving for pastures new, well yes and no, i want to see how 1.1.1.111111.1 patch goes then theres a group of escapees planning to tunnel out apparently, we`ll probably end up in someone's centre circle in the middle of a game. But for now we`ll sit tight!!

Some amusing things I have come across over the last few weeks in the daily papers, just in case you missed them...a few of my favourites are below.

`Uefa show they have a sense of humour as the seating plan for the draw is revealed. Apparently, Manchester United officials have been seated next to the represents of...yes; you've guessed it...Real Madrid. Don't get Uefa to plan the seating for your wedding folks.`

`What on earth are Liverpool wearing??? Grey shirts and red shorts. It's hurting my eyes. "It looks like a training kit," remarks Graham Taylor.`

Some predictions in Real life for 2009:

Tottenham re-sign Defoe and sell him back to pompy in the summer before someone realises he attached to a piece of elastic that runs from south sea to seven sisters!

Real Madrid admits there 3m bid for Pennant was the result of a drunken staff party, where a drunken staff member admits to the prank. Hull then own up to the same!

West Ham chairman decide to appoint Kerry Katona to the board of the happy hammers as she`s the only one who can make a profit from ICELAND!

Hull are forced to sell Geovanni to pay for the Sunbed use at the KC Stadium of manager Phil Brown.

Finally Ricardo Fuller has been lined up as Ricky Hatton's next opponent!

SO to 2009 in Lineker,

There will be the usual moans im predicting after the 1.1..11111 patch has been launched and im guessing not everyone will be happy with the Tax situation, shame about the stadiums but trust me I've seen it there more hassle than there worth at the moment. There will be banter and straight talking in the lobby as usual, Shev will continue to wheel and deal better than a Lewisham car dealer and Me? Nothing different for me, the same edgy stuff as usual i would reckon!

Good luck to all for 2009 and i`ll see you all in the Premiership (damn I didn't make it!...oh and up the daggers (IRL!)
